Home 3 Pro is Hypervolt’s current domestic chargepoint generation. It supplies up to 7.4 kW AC on a single-phase connection through a tethered vehicle cable.
Cable and electrical protection
Type 2 cable choices are 5 m, 7.5 m and 10 m. A Type 1 form is also available, although the 10 m option is restricted to Type 2. The car and the site’s available capacity can limit charging below the unit’s maximum rating.
The charger has integrated open-PEN protection and 6 mA DC residual-current detection. Hypervolt’s installation guide requires external overcurrent protection and an individual double-pole RCD, with Type A as the minimum and Type AC prohibited. Integrated protection does not replace those installation requirements.
Load, solar and battery behaviour
Automatic load management uses a current transformer to measure demand at the incoming supply and reduce or pause vehicle charging before the configured site limit is exceeded.
Eco mode combines available solar surplus with grid electricity. Super Eco is the solar-only setting. The same measurement path is therefore involved in both load protection and solar following, making sensor placement and direction part of commissioning.
Battery-Safe can work from the mandatory mains sensor without a second sensor. An optional second sensor adds live flow monitoring for an AC-coupled battery. That second-sensor arrangement is not supported with a hybrid inverter because battery and PV contributions cannot be separated at its AC connection.
Battery-Safe responds to measured site behaviour and can help limit unintended battery drain. It does not directly control the storage system’s charging or discharging, so the mode cannot guarantee that the car will never draw stored energy.
Connectivity and availability
Connectivity includes 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE, with optional hardwired Ethernet. App and smart functions depend on the charger being commissioned and connected as required.
Home 3 Pro is the current generation at 22 July 2026. The GOV.UK spreadsheet updated on 15 June 2026 lists it at 7.4 kW with one socket and eligible for both residential and commercial grants. Model eligibility does not by itself establish that a property or applicant qualifies for a grant.
The standard warranty is three years, with a five-year extended option. Registration within 48 hours of installation is a warranty condition. The applicable terms determine the cover for an individual unit.
