Smart LUX is the tethered charger in Indra’s current home range. It has a fixed Type 2 lead and a front turbine light that changes pattern and colour with the charger’s state.

Power and cable versions

The unit is rated at 7.4 kW on a 230 V single-phase supply, with adjustable output up to 32 A. A 6 m cable is standard and a 10 m version is available. The model codes in UK register and warranty records distinguish cable length, colour and generation, so a long code such as SMNFGT2BL401 or SMNFGT2GY408 is a Smart LUX variant rather than a different charger family.

Actual charging power can be lower because of the circuit setting, building load control, the vehicle’s onboard AC charger or a schedule. The cable route also needs to reach the vehicle without being stretched or creating a trip hazard.

Control, solar and protection

The Indra app provides schedules, tariff integration, charging history, boost and remote locking. Solar mode and load curtailment rely on suitable current measurement and correct commissioning. Wi-Fi is standard, with 4G and Ethernet documented as optional.

The product sheet records 6 mA DC leakage detection, RFID compatibility and Indra’s PEST protection, including built-in PEN-fault protection. The enclosure is rated IP67 and IK10. These features sit within the complete electrical installation rather than replacing the external protective devices and checks specified for the circuit.

Warranty and identification

Indra’s current product page and warranty state a three-year term. That current warranty applies to products purchased on or after 5 December 2025. An earlier Indra warranty schedule gave five years to some first-generation Smart LUX codes and three years to later Gen 2 codes, so owners should use the dated terms supplied with their unit.
