The 22 kW zappi 2.1 is the three-phase member of myenergi’s display-equipped AC charger family. Its stated maximum assumes a suitable 400 V three-phase supply, a 32 A setting on each phase and a vehicle that accepts three-phase AC charging. A single-phase vehicle will not take 22 kW merely because it is connected to this unit.

Hardware variants

The family code is ZAPPI-2H22. Tethered models use a 6.5 m Type 2 cable and untethered models use a locking Type 2 socket. The remaining letters distinguish cable format and black or white finish. Further suffixes identify technical versions, so protective-device and installation details should be checked against the complete code on the rating label.

Three-phase ECO operation

AC charging operates between 6 and 32 A. Across three phases, the lower charging threshold is therefore about 4.2 kW at nominal voltage. If the charger stays in three-phase mode, ECO+ can pause when the available renewable surplus drops below that level, depending on its Minimum Green Level setting.

Version 5 firmware can switch a three-phase zappi automatically between single-phase and three-phase charging as surplus changes. In single-phase mode it can continue at about 1.4 kW, but it cannot exceed the single-phase ceiling. In FAST mode or during a boost, all three phases are used where the vehicle supports them.

This behaviour depends on correctly placed grid CTs, compatible vehicle behaviour, firmware and commissioned settings. The maximum charger rating does not establish the building’s available capacity, so the three-phase supply, diversity and dynamic load limit must be designed separately.

Electrical and service points

The enclosure is IP65, with integrated 6 mA DC residual-current detection and optional dynamic load balancing. The installation needs an installation-specific upstream protective arrangement and earthing assessment. Current 2H units use Wi-Fi or Ethernet for app control, monitoring and firmware services.

The standard warranty is three years. A paid extension to a total of five years is available subject to eligibility and separate terms.
