zappi GLO is myenergi’s screenless 7 kW single-phase EV charger. It is a separate product from the display-equipped zappi 2.1, not a new fascia for the same unit. The tethered version has a fixed 6.5 m Type 2 cable; the untethered version has a Type 2 socket and uses a separate cable.
Controls and charging
There are no on-device buttons or display. The myenergi app manages normal settings and charging sessions, while the Installer Assistant app is used for setup. RFID provides local tap-to-charge access and supports up to 126 identified users.
GLO also changes the charging vocabulary used on zappi 2.1. With Smart Charging off, it charges when the vehicle is connected and requesting power. With Smart Charging on, it can respond to measured solar surplus, a schedule, dynamic-tariff information and demand-side response. These functions depend on the relevant measurements, configuration and communications rather than the presence of solar panels alone.
Enclosure and communications
The IP65 and IK10 enclosure measures 350 × 170 × 160 mm and weighs 4.1 kg. It mounts vertically on a wall, operates from -25°C to +40°C and contains an integrated tamper microswitch. Communications include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and myenergi local radio.
The compliance technical file covers tethered ZAPPI-3AS07T-G and untethered ZAPPI-3AS07U-G products. The full code on the supplied unit identifies its connector arrangement and applicable declarations.
Electrical protection
The charger uses 230 V AC ±10%, Class I construction and integrated 6 mA DC residual-current detection. Local requirements may also require an upstream 30 mA Type A RCD. Models carrying the -G suffix include automatic disconnection for the documented broken-PEN arrangement.
The current extended-warranty page states a three-year standard warranty for GLO, with a paid extension to a total of five years subject to its eligibility window and terms.
