NexBlue Delta Max (UK) is a Type 2 socketed charger for commercial and shared-parking sites. It works on single-phase or three-phase supplies and is rated from 1.4 to 22 kW.

Metering and site management

An organic light-emitting diode display shows consumption data at the unit. Its internal energy meter is Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) Class B compliant, with stated accuracy of ±1%. That provides a defined metering specification for recorded use, although the billing and reimbursement arrangement still depends on the operator’s system.

Nexus local and cloud control can coordinate load and phase use across multiple levels of a site. The product sheet places no fixed charger count on its load-management function. Current-transformer inputs and NexBlue Zen provide site measurements, while an RS-485 interface supports load-shedding integration.

The charger communicates through Ethernet, Wi-Fi, a built-in 4G eSIM, Bluetooth and Nexus RF. OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1 support compatible chargepoint-management platforms. Charging can start through the app, an RFID (radio-frequency identification) card, near-field communication or plug-and-play mode.

Vehicle communication and protection

Delta Max contains hardware for ISO 15118, Plug & Charge and future V2G (vehicle-to-grid) operation. NexBlue separately states that automotive and installation standards are not yet ready for those functions. The feature is therefore a communication and future-capability statement, not confirmation of current bidirectional operation at a given site.

The UK model includes PEN (protective earth and neutral) fault protection, 6 mA DC and 30 mA AC residual-current protection, an IP54 enclosure and an IK10 impact rating. NexBlue states a five-year warranty, subject to its terms.

The eligible chargepoint register dated 15 June 2026 lists Delta Max (UK) for residential and commercial schemes at 22.1 kW. NexBlue’s own product sheet rates it to 22 kW. The two published figures refer to the same named product, not different hardware variants.

Availability

Delta Max (UK) remained in NexBlue’s current UK brochure and product navigation at 22 July 2026. The direct product page nevertheless showed the available variant as sold out or unavailable. NexBlue had not identified it as superseded or withdrawn, so the catalogue and direct-order positions need to be distinguished.
