Pylontech Fidus Battery Plus

Pylontech Fidus Battery Plus is a 51.2 V low-voltage battery family in the current global catalogue. FB-L-16 and the self-heating FB-L-16-Pro are IP65, while FB-L-16-PK is IP20. Current UK new-supply and warranty status is unconfirmed.

Capacity and model variants

All three versions are published at 16.076 kWh nominal. The sheets also print 16.076 kWh usable and say 100% depth of discharge is supported, while noting that the default lower state-of-charge limit is 5% and that their test basis uses a 5% to 95% state-of-charge range. Those statements should remain together rather than turning the energy figure into an unconditional 100% daily-use promise.

FB-L-16 is specified for charging from 0°C to 55°C and discharging from -20°C to 60°C. FB-L-16-Pro adds battery heating and is specified from -20°C to 55°C for charging and discharging. Model suffix therefore matters in a cold location.

Current and expansion

The current attached sheet gives 188 A maximum continuous charge and 200 A maximum continuous discharge, with 300 A for up to 15 seconds. It shows up to 20 units in a group and six groups, with a footnote limiting multi-group arrangements to 19 batteries per group and requiring LV-HUB-V2 as master. The live structured table instead states 180 A charge, 200 A discharge and 16 batteries per group. The IP20 PK sheet gives 188/200 A and the 20-unit schedule. These conflicts must be settled from the supplied variant’s documentation.

Documentation difference

The weight records conflict. The current product sheets give 130 kg for all three variants, while Pylontech’s structured web table gives 120 kg for FB-L-16 and 122 kg for FB-L-16-Pro. The supplied nameplate and installation document therefore control handling and structural calculations. All three are 435 by 240 by 900 mm, but PK is IP20 rather than IP65.

Warranty boundary

The 15-year design-life and 8,000-cycle figures are technical statements, not a warranty duration. UK product-specific warranty terms are unconfirmed.
