QUBEV Smart is a Rolec smart-charger family. Rolec’s launch material describes Mode 3 charging, dynamic load balancing, an IP54 enclosure and versions reaching 22 kW. Product codes distinguish different connector and control arrangements.
Current status
Rolec still provides QUBEV Smart material in its EV-charging download centre, including an installation manual and declaration of conformity. The family is absent from the manufacturer’s main product-range page, which instead presents EVO, WallPod and Zura for home and wall-mounted charging. However, Rolec’s QUBEV Smart launch page directs buyers to EV OneStop, which listed new socketed and tethered QUBEV Smart chargers on 22 July 2026. The family remains in supply through that route, subject to the exact product code.
The main Rolec range page’s omission should not be read as proof of discontinuation while the manufacturer’s linked retail partner still offers the product. Equally, a family-level listing does not establish that every historical version remains available. A unit needs to be identified by its rating label, exact EVON product code, connector arrangement and installed protection.
Support and operation
The current support file for the relevant hardware revision should be used for reset, communications and fault procedures. Smart operation may also depend on the original application, back-office account and network connection. Those services can change independently of the physical charger.
For electrical work, the installer needs the exact current applicable manual rather than the family summary. Supply phase, maximum current, upstream residual-current protection, open-PEN protection, earthing, load-balancing sensor and cable route all need verification. A 22 kW label requires a suitable three-phase supply and does not establish that the connected vehicle can accept that rate.
