SolarEdge S1000 is a commercial power optimiser for compatible SolarEdge commercial three-phase inverters rather than the residential Home optimiser schedule.
S1000 current input schedule
The current European datasheet reviewed on 23 July 2026 gives a permitted input rating above the number in the S1000 name. Older retained revisions can show the earlier value, so the exact datasheet revision and part number belong with any design or replacement decision.
The change does not make input wattage the only limit. The combined module voltage and current must fit the optimiser window, including the series voltage of the two connected modules and their short-circuit current.
S1000 two-module string rules
S1000 connects two PV modules in series at its input. That pairing must stay within the optimiser voltage and current limits.
S1000 has a different maximum output current from S1200. SolarEdge does not permit the two models in the same string, so S1200 is not a drop-in way to raise the capacity of an existing S1000 string.
Minimum and maximum optimiser counts, connected string power and compatible inverter family come from the commercial design table. Residential S-series string rules do not apply.
Connector and cable variants are part-number specific, so a replacement order needs the complete S1000 code rather than the family name alone.
S1000 shutdown value and current status
The stated shutdown value applies per optimiser under the disconnected condition in the datasheet.
SolarEdge’s August 2025 policy covers eligible power optimisers, and S1000 remains in current commercial product material. Its temperature schedule includes high-temperature derating.
