Solis S6 three-phase hybrid is an umbrella description for several current solar-and-battery inverter families. The UK range includes both low-voltage and high-voltage battery designs. They are not interchangeable.
Low-voltage family
S6-EH3P(8-18)K02-NV-YD-L uses a 48 V battery class and lists 8, 10, 12, 15 and 18 kW variants. The current UK page states two solar MPPTs, up to 21 A solar input current, backup switching below 10 milliseconds and ten seconds at 200% off-grid overload.
It also describes unbalanced three-phase backup, with each phase limited to a stated proportion of total inverter power. That needs the exact manual and load schedule because a three-phase total rating cannot all be assigned to one phase.
High-voltage families
The residential high-voltage branch includes S6-EH3P(5-12)K-H and S6-EH3P(15-20)K-H. Solis describes three or four trackers depending on family and model, with different battery-current and generator arrangements. Specifications from the low-voltage family must not be carried across.
The current UK catalogue also includes commercial high-voltage schedules. S6-EH3P(30-50)K-H covers 30 to 50 kW and S6-EH3P(80-125)K10-NV-YD-H covers 80 to 125 kW. These are separate commercial families, not larger suffixes of the residential products. Their multi-battery, grid and backup design needs their own product documents.
Installed-system boundaries
The complete inverter and battery codes, approved battery document and firmware determine compatibility. Backup also depends on the protected-load distribution, earthing, switching and starting currents. Parallel and generator functions require their specified external controls and protection.
The UK limited warranty effective from 1 July 2025 gives energy-storage inverters on sale five years, subject to eligibility and exclusions. The production date and supplied terms control earlier units.
Meter placement, export settings and phase allocation should be retained in the commissioning pack alongside the complete inverter and battery codes.
