Sunsynk ECCO 8kW is model SYNK-8K-SG05LP1 and the largest of the four current single-phase ECCO entries. It is a low-voltage hybrid inverter, not the similarly named three-phase 8 kW or non-ECCO Hybrid Inverter 8kW.
PV and AC limits
Rated AC and UPS power is 8 kW, while maximum AC power is 8.8 kW. The 8.8 kW figure is an operating limit, not the model’s rated-power name. The design record, type-test record and installed nameplate distinguish the two values.
The inverter accepts up to 10.4 kW of DC input. Each of its two MPPTs accepts two strings and has a 32 A maximum operating current and 48 A maximum short-circuit current. The maximum PV input voltage is 500 V and the MPPT range is 150 to 425 V. The two strings on a tracker share its current limit.
In off-grid operation the sheet permits a 16 kW peak for 10 seconds and gives 50 A as the maximum continuous AC pass-through current. Neither short-duration peak nor pass-through current is a continuous inverter power rating.
Battery class
The battery input operates from 40 to 60 V and permits up to 190 A charge or discharge current. The exact battery and inverter model codes govern compatibility.
Siting and connection
Current weight records conflict between 23.6 kg net on the product page and 24.9 kg in the exact-model sheet. The nameplate and unit-specific installation document therefore control handling and mounting. Both records agree on natural, fanless cooling and IP65 protection. The sheet gives 97.6% maximum and 96.5% European efficiency.
The exact-model sheet states a five-year warranty, or ten years with a Sunsynk battery. The current range-page headline and formal terms describe cover differently, so the dated terms issued for the installation need checking.
