Vertex S was Trina Solar’s p-type rooftop family before the n-type Vertex S+ range. This page uses TSM-DE09.08 as the representative installed product because its manufacturer datasheet and UK certification lifecycle can be matched exactly.
The DE09.08 form
The 2021 schedule contains four 5 W classes from 390 W to 405 W. They share the same enclosure, cell count and weight, while voltage, current and efficiency vary by class. The construction uses front glass and a white backsheet rather than the two sheets of glass used by Vertex S+.
Later manufacturer material described an upgraded Vertex S generation at up to 430 W. That later range is not merged into the DE09.08 specification here. A panel carrying a different DE09R code needs its own datasheet even if an installer shortens both names to Vertex S.
Certification lifecycle
The MCS Product Directory retained TSM-DE09.08 records for several frame depths and TSM-DE09R.08 records when checked on 23 July 2026. The displayed certification periods ended on 4 November 2025.
The original module remains relevant to installed arrays, replacement work and warranty records, but those expired entries do not establish current certification for new supply. Trina Solar’s current European rooftop range is organised under Vertex S+ and newer G3 products.
Frame depth is also part of the directory identity. Some MCS records include dimensions that differ from the 30 mm manufacturer schedule described here, so an old certification row should be matched to the complete label rather than the DE09.08 stem alone.
