Vertex S+ is Trina Solar’s n-type rooftop family. It succeeded the original p-type Vertex S construction and now covers several module sizes rather than one panel.
Current forms
The compact group includes white-rear, clear-black, full-black and reinforced forms. The larger NEG18 products are intended for commercial and industrial roofs. Different rear treatments mean that some modules are bifacial while the full-black NEG9R.25 schedule is monofacial.
The code also separates electrical layouts. NEG9R.28, NEG9RC.27 and NEG9R.25 are not suffix options on one shared datasheet. Their wattage range, current, voltage and rear-side behaviour must be taken from the matching document.
Trina launched Vertex S+ G3 in March 2026 and stated that European availability would begin in the second half of 2026. The new NEG9RP...Z and NED9R...Z codes use a revised cell platform and a different annual degradation figure. The G3 announcement does not alter the specification of an existing NEG9R module.
UK record and warranty
Current MCS entries existed for several exact established Vertex S+ codes on 23 July 2026. The directory did not establish a blanket record for the family or every newly announced G3 product.
Current European product pages state 25-year product and 30-year power warranties for the established family. They show a 1% first-year reduction and 0.4% annual reduction after that. G3 pages retain the two warranty periods but state a lower annual reduction, so the original terms and exact code remain part of the system record.
