VCHRGD TwentyTwo Dual is a two-outlet chargepoint for workplace, fleet and commercial sites. The current version has two universal Type 2 sockets, a 4.3-inch touchscreen and individual MID-class metering channels. The V1.2 installation guide instead includes 5 m tethered variants, so the part number remains important.

Output modes

With a 64 A three-phase input, maximum output is two 22 kW channels, 44 kW total. A 32 A three-phase input can provide two 11 kW outputs, while a firmware-limited two-by-7 kW mode is also available. On a 32 A single-phase input, the available power is shared as two 3.5 kW outputs when both sockets are active.

These are charger limits. Each vehicle’s onboard charger, the installed circuit and dynamic load-management setting can reduce actual power. The guide requires the charger’s current setting to match the input arrangement so that connector balancing works correctly.

Metering, access and communications

Two MID-class channels record the outlets separately. RFID can provide local authorisation or operate through an OCPP 1.6J back office. The current range includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4G and Bluetooth, but V1.2 part numbers use different Wi-Fi, Ethernet and 4G combinations. The ordered code and continuing back-office or data service therefore matter.

The enclosure is IP65 with IP54 sockets, an operating range of -30°C to 50°C and weights of 11 kg for socketed or 13 kg for tethered versions. Two current records give different dimensions: 465 × 255 × 163 mm and 465 × 254 × 135 mm. The supplied unit’s drawing and mounting template therefore control layout.

Protection and warranty

Published protection includes PEN-fault detection, 6 mA DC leakage detection, overcurrent, voltage and temperature monitoring. The guide requires external Type A residual-current protection for each installation. The final arrangement depends on the selected supply and circuit design.

The product warranty runs for three years from first installation, subject to correct installation, evidence and exclusions. The accompanying cellular-data terms describe an initial 36-month package and a paid renewal route, which is separate from the hardware warranty.
