Battery-Box LV5.0+ is a current low-voltage residential battery on BYD Energy Storage’s global product site. Each pack provides 5.12 kWh usable energy and the family is designed for parallel expansion. UK new-supply status, compatible-inverter support and full UK warranty terms are unconfirmed.
One pack, parallel expansion
The pack voltage range is 40 to 58.4 V, maximum charge and discharge current is 100 A and peak current is 200 A for ten seconds. Up to 32 packs can be connected in parallel, giving a maximum usable capacity of 163.84 kWh.
Those figures describe the DC battery. Available AC power depends on the inverter, the number of packs and any limits applied by the BMS.
System role and compatibility
LV5.0+ needs a compatible external low-voltage inverter.
The V1.5 product uses LFP cells, has at least 95% battery round-trip efficiency and is rated IP20. It measures 195 × 625 × 285 mm and weighs 45 kg. Its charging range is 0°C to 55°C, with charge derating from 0°C to 5°C, while discharge is permitted from -20°C to 55°C.
Similar name and warranty boundary
LV5.0+ should not be confused with the earlier FD-LV5.0. The plus sign is part of the product name, and the structured values apply to the current LV5.0+ V1.5 generation.
LV5.0+ carries a ten-year warranty headline. Full UK terms defining the start date, retained capacity, throughput and other conditions are unconfirmed.
