Battery-Box Premium HVM
BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM is a modular high-voltage LFP battery family with 8.28 to 22.08 kWh usable energy per tower and up to three identical towers.

Battery-Box Premium HVM is BYD’s larger high-voltage Battery-Box family. Each tower combines three to eight 2.76 kWh HVM modules in series beneath a battery control unit, then connects to a compatible external inverter.
Six tower sizes
The current BCU2.0 family contains HVM 8.3, 11.0, 13.8, 16.6, 19.3 and 22.1. Their exact usable energies run from 8.28 to 22.08 kWh. The model names are rounded, so HVM 11.0 is the four-module 11.04 kWh configuration.
Every BCU2.0 size has a 50 A maximum output current and a 75 A peak for three seconds. Adding modules increases the tower voltage as well as its energy.
Three identical HVM towers can be connected in parallel. The family maximum is rounded to 66.2 kWh, while three times the exact 22.08 kWh figure is 66.24 kWh. This scaling statement is for identical towers, not mixed HVM sizes.
Some BYD overview material still shows the earlier HVM schedule of 2.71 kWh modules, 8.1 to 21.7 kWh per tower and a 65 kWh parallel maximum. The later BCU2.0 generation uses 2.76 kWh modules, 8.28 to 22.08 kWh per tower and 66.2 kWh rounded across three towers. The control-unit version identifies which schedule applies.
Compatibility and generation boundaries
HVM supplies high-voltage DC storage. Its AC output and backup capability are system-dependent.
BCU2.0 and preceding HVS/HVM control units share the HVM family name but use different technical schedules. BCU2.0 has two module weight versions and a different peak-current declaration from older material. The equipment label and BCU version identify the applicable specification.
Battery-Box H 11.5 is not an HVM variant. It is a superseded first-generation product using nine 1.28 kWh modules. HVM 11.0 is the current name for the four-module HVM configuration.
Environment and warranty
The BCU2.0 product is rated IP55 and operates from -10°C to 50°C, with output derating between -10°C and 5°C.
The six HVM sizes have ten years of European residential warranty cover, with 60% retained usable energy or a size-specific throughput limit. The limit runs from 25.62 MWh for HVM 8.3 to 68.31 MWh for HVM 22.1. The applicable inverter, installation and warranty-start conditions remain part of that cover.
