Dura-i G3 is the current single-phase inverter family used with Duracell Energy’s low-voltage batteries. It can operate as a hybrid inverter with solar PV connected directly or as an AC-connected battery inverter alongside an existing solar system. Those are different circuit arrangements and should be clear in the design and handover documents.
Ratings and model codes
The four current codes are PD-DH1P-3.6K-G3, PD-DH1P-4.6K-G3, PD-DH1P-5K-G3 and PD-DH1P-6K-G3. Their nominal grid outputs are 3.6, 4.6, 5 and 6 kW respectively. All use a 230 V single-phase grid connection and two PV MPPTs.
Maximum connected PV capacity is 10 kWp. Array voltage, current and string layout remain subject to the inverter’s input limits.
Battery and backup limits
The battery input covers 40 to 65 V. Maximum battery charge and discharge power rises from 4 kW on the 3.6 kW model to 6.6 kW on the 6 kW model. It is therefore not valid to assign the largest model’s battery power or backup current to every Dura-i G3.
The separate backup output has a typical transfer time of 10 ms. Nominal backup output follows the model’s 3.6 to 6 kW rating, with higher short-duration figures subject to the specified conditions and available PV and battery power.
The enclosure is IP65 and measures 377 × 452 × 206 mm. Warranty cover is ten years, subject to registration and the full terms.
