Dura16 LV is Duracell Energy’s current larger low-voltage home battery. The model PD-16KWH-50V-1G uses LFP cells and has 16 kWh nominal energy, of which 14.4 kWh is usable.
Capacity and power
The battery’s maximum charge and discharge current is 130 A and its maximum battery power is 6.6 kW. The usable AC output of an installed system can be lower because it also depends on inverter rating, efficiency, temperature, state of charge and configured limits.
Dura16 is not a cabinet containing three interchangeable Dura5 units. It is a 51.2 V, 314 Ah product with its own BMS and model code. Up to 12 Dura16 systems can operate in parallel, subject to the compatible inverter schedule and installation instructions.
Physical installation
The wall-mounted enclosure measures 520 × 860 × 236 mm, weighs 122 kg and is rated IP65.
System functions and warranty
Dura16 communicates over CAN or RS485. Backup and AC output depend on the compatible inverter and completed circuit.
The product specification is 8,000 cycles with a ten-year warranty.
