IQ Combiner

IQ Combiner is a family name for Enphase pre-wired enclosures. A combiner groups an IQ Gateway with protection, relays, communications and connection hardware selected for a particular market and system. It is not a microinverter and the name alone does not identify the equipment inside.

Model and regional differences

IQ Combiner 2 EU 3P is a 400/230 V indoor EMEA model. It contains IQ Gateway Metered, two IQ Relays, Communications Kit 2, two four-pole circuit breakers, an IQ Gateway breaker and an RCD.

Its two 16 A circuit positions support one PV and one storage circuit, two PV circuits or two storage circuits. Maximum assembly rating is 32 A. Other regions and generations can use different contents, so this schedule applies only to the complete X-IQ-EURO-230-3P-4-2 code.

Metering and communications

Three production CTs are pre-installed and three consumption CTs are supplied. Both metering sets have ±1% accuracy.

The Communications Kit provides wired control communication. Integrated Wi-Fi supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connections, while Ethernet is optional. These links carry monitoring and control data; they do not convert solar or battery power.

Enclosure

IQ Combiner 2 EU 3P measures 600 × 400 × 132 mm and weighs 12 kg. The indoor enclosure is rated IP54 and IK08 and operates from -25°C to 40°C.

System role

The combiner groups interconnection, protection, metering and communications equipment. It is not a backup isolation controller and cannot establish islanded operation by itself.
