Enphase IQ Gateway is the system communications and metering device for compatible Enphase equipment. This entry covers the current Metered model ENV-S-EM-230.
Gateway and metering
ENV-S-EM-230 communicates with rooftop microinverters through the site’s AC cabling.
Production and consumption metering accuracy is ±1% when the required current transformers and voltage references are installed correctly. IQ Gateway can poll up to 300 microinverters. That number is a communications capacity, not a permitted branch-circuit count or grid-connection limit.
Meter orientation, phase matching and placement are essential. A reversed or phase-mismatched current transformer can make import, export or production values incorrect even though the gateway is online.
Metering boundary
The 300-device figure is a polling capacity. It is not a branch-circuit allowance or a grid-connection limit. Production and consumption values depend on the current transformers being installed on the correct phases and in the correct direction.
Listed gateway SKUs have a five-year Great Britain warranty, subject to its terms. The territory is Scotland, England and Wales. Northern Ireland needs its applicable document.
