Enphase IQ System Controller 3 INT is a current pre-wired enclosure that connects compatible solar, IQ Battery 5P, the grid and backed-up circuits. It contains the microgrid interconnect device that detects a grid failure and isolates the supported system before backup operation.
Current model
The current SKU is SC100G-M230-3P. Maximum continuous grid and backup-load current is 100 A in a single-phase configuration or 80 A per phase in a three-phase configuration. Both single-phase and three-phase backup operation are supported in the applicable system configuration. The enclosure is rated IP55.
Supported earthing systems are TN-C-S, TN-S and TT. The controller is compatible with the single-phase and three-phase IQ Battery 5P codes and with supported IQ7, IQ8 and M Series microinverters or a supported string inverter.
Backup boundary
The controller provides metering, grid isolation, gateway and transition control. Circuit selection, neutral and earthing arrangement and protected-load distribution are installation-specific.
Its automatic transfer switch has a 0 ms load-transition time under the defined test condition. Power-quality variation can last up to 30 ms and grid isolation up to 120 ms. These are different events: the isolation time is not a claim that every connected load experiences an interruption of that duration.
Enclosure and included equipment
The wall-mounted enclosure measures 760 × 500 × 158 mm, weighs 15.2 kg and operates from -40°C to 45°C using natural-convection cooling. It contains IQ Gateway, production and consumption CTs, a System Shutdown Switch and Mobile Connect for backup internet connectivity with a five-year data plan.
The IQ System Controller has a ten-year limited warranty in Scotland, England and Wales, subject to the full terms. Northern Ireland needs its applicable document.
