The GivEnergy EMS is an energy management controller that links up to three AC-coupled GivEnergy inverter and battery systems and up to six meters into one balanced output and a single data stream. It performs no power conversion.

The GivEnergy EMS is an energy management controller for installations that run more than one GivEnergy inverter and battery system. It sits above those systems as a coordination layer, reading each one and presenting the group as a single balanced output with one combined data feed. The EMS is a communication and control module rather than a generating or storage product, and it performs no power conversion.
How it differs from an inverter
An inverter switches current between DC and AC and is rated by the power it can move. The EMS does neither. It runs from a low-voltage DC supply, carries only control and communication signals and draws minimal standby power, so its footprint and thermal envelope are those of a small electronics module, not a power-conversion unit. Its job is coordination. Where several inverter and battery systems would otherwise each make their own decisions and report separately, the controller aggregates them so the installation behaves as one system and reports through one channel.
Connections, monitoring and export
The connection ceilings describe the size of installation the controller is built for: several stacked inverter and battery systems on one site, each read alongside its own metering point. Devices link to it over an RS485 wired bus, and it reaches the GivEnergy portal over either WiFi or a wired network connection, which is how the unified data stream arrives in the owner’s monitoring app. The product carries UKCA, CE and G100 certificates.
Compatibility and mounting
The EMS is specific to GivEnergy AC-coupled inverter and battery systems. It coordinates existing systems instead of replacing an inverter or adding storage. Its enclosure is rated IP20. In function it is the home energy management layer for a multi-system GivEnergy setup, sitting between the individual inverters and the portal.
Availability and manufacturer status
GivEnergy Ltd entered administration and ceased trading on 9 April 2026, so the EMS is recorded as withdrawn from new supply by that manufacturer. Its version 1 datasheet, dated December 2024, remains the reference for installed V1 Residential units.
The one-year figure is the warranty term published before the administration. The administrator has stated that GivEnergy Ltd will honour no further hardware warranties or user and software support.
