Growatt ARK is a modular LFP battery family. ARK LV, ARK HV and ARK XH use related module capacities, but they are electrically different systems.
Three ARK electrical arrangements
ARK LV uses ARK 2.5L-A1 modules in a parallel low-voltage arrangement. ARK HV uses ARK 2.5H-A1 modules with a separate BMS controller. The XH system uses the same named high-voltage module with a BDC power module and a different system schedule.
The three schedules do not use identical module-count limits or power labels. LV and HV state standard charge and discharge power. XH states maximum output and a separate short-duration peak. These ratings describe the battery system and can still be constrained by the connected inverter.
Charging is limited to 0°C or above, while discharge is permitted from -10°C. An enclosure rating does not override that charging limit, so the installation design must keep the battery within the applicable operating conditions.
Inverter compatibility and backup
ARK XH remains compatible with the current MIN XH2 and MOD XH families. The permitted module count and controller depend on the inverter:
| Arrangement | Inverter family | Battery module | Controller | Module count | Backup position |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ARK LV | SPH 3000-6000TL BL-UP or SPA 1000-3000TL BL |
ARK 2.5L-A1 |
none | 1–10 in parallel | built-in UPS function |
| ARK HV | SPH/SPA 4000-10000TL3 BH-UP |
ARK 2.5H-A1 |
HVC 60050-A1 |
3–10 in series | built-in UPS function |
| ARK XH | MIN 2500-6000TL-XH |
ARK 2.5H-A1 |
BDC 95045-A1 |
2–7 in series | SYN 50-XH-10 |
| ARK XH | MOD 3000-10000TL3-XH |
ARK 2.5H-A1 |
BDC 95045-A1 |
3–10 in series | no backup function |
The battery code, power module or BMS controller and module quantity must match the exact inverter. HVC 60050-A1 and BDC 95045-A1 are not interchangeable merely because both arrangements use ARK 2.5H-A1.
Backup is a function of the complete inverter and transfer arrangement, not the ARK tower. The MIN-XH arrangement uses a separate SYN 50-XH-10; the MOD-XH arrangement in this table has no backup function.
ARK XH catalogue position and UK supply
Current MIN XH2 and MOD XH pages still named ARK XH on 23 July 2026. ARK was not presented as a standalone battery range in the main product centre, and current UK new supply was unconfirmed on that date.
