SPA AC-coupled inverter

Growatt SPA identifies AC-coupled battery inverters. SPA 4000-10000TL3 BH-UP is the current three-phase high-voltage family in the worldwide catalogue.

AC-coupled battery path

SPA has no PV input. It charges and discharges a supported battery through the property’s AC system, so it can operate beside a separate solar inverter. SPH is the related hybrid range with direct PV inputs.

In a solar-storage system, energy passes through the solar inverter before SPA charges the battery.

The family supports lithium and lead-acid batteries, but the precise battery model and voltage must appear in the applicable supported pairing.

Three-phase backup

The backup rating follows the selected SPA power class, while the changeover figure is a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) mode specification. The installed design still depends on its metering, switching equipment and protected circuits.

The family also supports phase-level control and unbalanced output. Those functions do not turn a three-phase model into single-phase equipment; its grid connection and protected-load design remain three phase.

Older configuration documents include single-phase SPA BL products. Those codes have different limits and their presence in retained material does not establish current supply or make their documents applicable to BH-UP.

The five-year standard and optional ten-year warranty periods are qualified by Growatt’s general service terms, including the country of sale and any different period on the sales order.

SPA 4000-10000TL3 BH-UP remained a worldwide catalogue family on 23 July 2026. Current UK supply was unconfirmed rating by rating.
