Growatt WIT is a broad family of three-phase commercial hybrid inverters. Its current worldwide range spans several power and AC-voltage classes, so the full suffix is needed before its battery interface or input schedule can be identified.

HU and XHU in the 4-25K families

In the WIT 4-25K range, HU is the low-voltage battery version and XHU is the high-voltage version. That distinction does not extend across every WIT product: the current 50-100K-HU/AU range uses high-voltage batteries.

The two cited groups also have different efficiency and warranty schedules. Tracker count changes with rating, and some MPPT have two PV string inputs. Current limits therefore need to be read against the exact tracker arrangement rather than the product page’s per-string headline alone.

XHU supports named AXE high-voltage systems. The battery cabinet, controls, cables and firmware are part of that exact pairing. WIT 4-25K HU instead uses a low-voltage battery interface.

Generator input and backup output

The documented WIT 4-50K families include a controlled, model-specific generator input.

Their backup schedule separates rated output, short-duration overload and changeover. Those values describe the inverter; generator controls, switching equipment and protected-load design remain system-specific.

The larger worldwide WIT list includes 29.9-50K-XHU, 50-100K-HU/AU and 63-125K-XHU for specified 380, 400 or 415 V systems. Figures from the 4-25K schedules must not be transferred to those larger classes.

WIT voltage classes and UK supply

DNO approval, protection and export controls are project-specific.

These WIT families were live in Growatt’s worldwide catalogue on 23 July 2026. Current UK supply was unconfirmed across individual suffixes, AC-voltage classes and power classes.
