LUNA2000 is an umbrella name used across Huawei battery products. The residential range includes S0 and S1 systems. Commercial and utility products also carry the LUNA2000 name, so the full model code is essential.

Residential S0 and S1

S0 uses a LUNA2000-5KW-C0 power module with LUNA2000-5-E0 battery modules.

S1 uses a LUNA2000-10KW-C1 power module with 5-E1 or 7-E1 battery modules. Supported S1 towers can mix the two E1 module sizes, and charge and discharge power rises as modules are added.

These are separate generations with generation-specific battery modules and power units. The inverter’s compatibility table, battery voltage window and permitted module combination need to name the exact S0 or S1 parts.

Inverter-led power, Huawei backup switching and FusionSolar monitoring

LUNA2000 capacity does not set the home’s AC power limit. S0 or S1 connects on the DC side of a compatible Huawei inverter. Backup additionally needs supported Huawei switching equipment and a system design.

The battery and inverter communicate as one system. FusionSolar records state of charge, operating status and faults where the required communications are configured. This connection also matters to the extended years in Huawei’s current European battery warranty.

Catalogue, security and warranty records

Both systems remain current Huawei products. S1 has a 15-year European warranty schedule and S0 has a 10-year schedule, with later years in both cases dependent on FusionSolar SmartPVMS connectivity and the sales contract controlling.

UK PSTI (Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure) statements name the S0 power and battery modules plus the S1 C1 power module and 7-E1 battery module. They concern product security, leaving current UK supply and hardware warranty as separate component-specific records.
