HYPV-2.0-7 is the model number printed in the declaration of conformity for Hypervolt’s Home 2.0 domestic chargepoint. It is an earlier tethered, single-phase product rather than the current Home 3 Pro.

Rating and cable record

The current GOV.UK list and Hypervolt support page record a 7.4 kW maximum. The archived exact-code manual describes its output as 7 kW at 32 A and 230 V. These are two presentations of the same nominal single-phase current limit.

The archived exact-code options are 5 m and 7.5 m tethered cables, whereas the current Home 2.0 range also has a 10 m option. Paperwork for an installed unit establishes the cable and connector actually supplied.

Protection and environment

The charger includes open-PEN protection and 6 mA DC fault-current detection, but no built-in AC residual-current protection. Its Home 2.0 installation guide requires an individual Type A double-pole RCD or RCBO not exceeding 30 mA. A separate circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection where an RCD is used instead of an RCBO. The enclosure is rated IP54 and IK08.

The exact-code manual is internally inconsistent on operating range: its technical sheet gives a minimum of -20°C, while its safety section gives -25°C. The current Home 2.0 support page also gives -25°C. All three give an upper value of 40°C, so the rating and paperwork for an installed unit remain the relevant record.

Home 2.0 uses the Hypervolt app, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for adoption. Its primary current transformer measures site import and export for automatic load management and solar-aware Eco and Super Eco charging. The separate second-transformer battery monitoring belongs to Home 3.0 and Home 3 Pro, not Home 2.0.

Lifecycle and register status

Hypervolt says it could not sell Home 2 after December 2022 because of the incoming smart-chargepoint rules. It continues patch and bug-fix work as required for the installed base. The original exact-code manual stated a 36-month limited hardware warranty for correctly installed products; an individual unit follows its own dated terms.

The GOV.UK spreadsheet updated on 15 June 2026 still lists HYPV-2.0-7 for residential and commercial grant use. Continuing eligibility is separate from the manufacturer’s superseded sales status.
