DeepBlue 4.0 Pro is the n-type part of JA Solar’s module range. It is a product family rather than a single fixed panel. The current European residential catalogue contains JAM54D40 variants with different glass formats, dimensions, wattages and warranty labels.

The code controls the specification

Current 54-cell-format D40 pages span 415 W to 460 W, but that is a catalogue-wide range. A compact GB or MB panel can be 1722 mm high and 21.5 kg, while an LB form can be 1762 mm high and 22 kg. The D40 examples use two 1.6 mm glass sheets and n-type tunnel oxide passivated contact cells.

The suffix and wattage determine the applicable electrical table. They also matter to string design because maximum-power current and open-circuit voltage vary between classes. Values from a 445 W GB module should not be transferred to a 460 W LB module merely because both carry the DeepBlue 4.0 Pro name.

At 23 July 2026, current MCS entries existed for exact JAM54D40 and JAM54D41 combinations. The directory did not mirror every code on JA Solar’s European range page, so each complete product code still needs its own match.

Warranty schedules

JA Solar’s warranty effective 16 June 2026 assigns the covered n-type DeepBlue 4.0 patterns a maximum 1% first-year reduction and 0.4% annual reduction after that. Double-glass patterns receive a 30-year peak-power term in that document, while the product-warranty period varies between code groups.

The terms only apply to modules first sold from their effective date. Earlier panels retain the version applicable when sold. A catalogue label such as 15Y or 25Y, the invoice date and the full model code are therefore all relevant to the applicable cover.
