LG separates this established R290 Monobloc range from the newer R290 Monobloc S generation. Their product codes and technical records are distinct.
Outdoor and indoor equipment
The refrigerant circuit and main water-side components sit in the outdoor unit. LG pairs it with a choice of control, hydro or combi indoor equipment. Those arrangements change whether backup heating, expansion equipment and domestic-hot-water storage are integrated indoors.
The full system code therefore includes more than the outdoor capacity. The MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) directory also records specific outdoor and indoor-unit combinations. A matching outdoor power does not make any indoor module an equivalent certified combination.
Capacity-specific performance
LG’s seasonal figures do not rise in a straight line with the headline output. Each capacity has its own result at the lower and higher application temperatures, and the two temperature columns describe different heating-system conditions.
The maximum leaving-water figure and the minimum outdoor-temperature limit are boundaries of the operating envelope. They do not state that nameplate output is available when both extremes occur together.
Heating and domestic-hot-water operation have separate published water-temperature ranges. The upper part of the domestic-hot-water range depends on the booster heater and the catalogue’s stated system conditions.
Sound pressure at a stated distance is also installation-context data. LG derives its published distance values from sound power using free-field and directivity assumptions, so site geometry can produce a different measured level.
R290 certification, controls and warranty
As at 23 July 2026, LG’s UK page presented this R290 family as current and the MCS Product Directory held the indoor-and-outdoor combinations shown in the specification.
LG ThinQ provides supported user control, while optional BECON cloud functions are described for installer and service access. The required interfaces and the indoor equipment remain code-dependent.
LG’s warranty record depends on commissioning documents and servicing rather than the range name alone. Its current page contains two different summaries, so cover for an installed unit follows the submitted system diagram, commissioning sheet, any further extended-cover documents and the applicable terms.
