LG THERMA V R32 Split

LG THERMA V R32 Split is a current air-to-water heat-pump family in which refrigerant pipes connect the outdoor unit to indoor hydro or combi equipment.

A complete R32 Split product identity combines an HU outdoor code with compatible indoor equipment. LG’s catalogue includes hydro and combi arrangements, while the MCS evidence recorded here is limited to the exact hydro-unit pairings in the specification.

Two capacity groups

The range divides into a 4 kW and 6 kW pair and a separate 5 kW, 7 kW and 9 kW group. The groups have different pipe-length, outdoor-temperature and water-temperature boundaries.

The marketed 5 kW product also has a higher value in the catalogue’s rated-output row at the specified test point. A design record therefore needs the HU outdoor code and its paired indoor code, not only the marketed capacity.

All five variants use a single-phase supply. Their identical published seasonal figures do not make the hardware interchangeable, because their point outputs, sound declarations and operating envelopes differ.

Hydro and combi indoor units

The wall-mounted hydro unit contains the water-side components while leaving domestic-hot-water storage separate. The floor-standing combi unit integrates a cylinder and hydronic equipment. That catalogue choice is part of the system design, but it does not extend the MCS status of the exact hydro pairings to a combi unit.

LG’s UK page describes ThinQ app control with the required Wi-Fi modem. Refrigerant pipe length varies between the two capacity groups and remains an installation-design limit rather than a target distance.

Split pairing lifecycle and warranty

The MCS Product Directory contained the exact current hydro combinations shown in the specification and retained the earlier expired pairings. The complete outdoor and indoor-unit pair identifies the lifecycle record.

LG’s warranty periods depend on the commissioning documents submitted for the installation and continued biannual servicing under the stated terms. The current warranty page contains a separate, conflicting summary, so the installation record and applicable terms determine cover.
