Pylontech US2000 is a 48 V, rack-mounted LFP battery retained for identification and support of installed systems. It is absent from Pylontech’s current product list, but the current European and UK US-series warranty names it and the hosted US5000 manual documents it in selected mixed groups.
Capacity and current
The Pylontech family sheet gives 2.4 kWh nominal and 2.28 kWh usable energy. It lists 25 A recommended current, 50 A for up to 60 seconds and 100 A for up to 15 seconds. The last two are time-limited values rather than continuous ratings.
The module measures 442 by 410 by 89 mm and weighs 24 kg. Communications are RS485 and CAN. The sheet gives eight modules in one string and IP20 protection, so the equipment depends on a suitable indoor enclosure or room and adequate support.
Expansion and mixing
Pylontech’s later US5000 manual includes US2000 in a specific mixed-bank arrangement. It allows US2000 among the second to eighth modules when a US5000 is master, but excludes it from positions nine to sixteen. This is a documented exception, not general permission to mix all Pylontech 48 V batteries.
The battery label, firmware, cable set and inverter compatibility record remain important. A shared nominal voltage does not establish protocol compatibility, and later Pelio documentation separately prohibits mixing Pelio with US and UP products.
Warranty record
The hosted European and UK US-series terms include US2000. They begin with seven years and describe free registration for extension to ten years. Minimum capacity is defined as 70% of nominal energy in the initial term and 60% at the end of the extension. The document also contains a separate time-value replacement calculation.
The actual cover for an older installation depends on its purchase route, installation date, registration and the terms supplied with it.
