Distinguishing hardwarefront-panel 125 A DC breaker

Pylontech US5000-B is a low-voltage LFP rack battery documented alongside US5000 in the manufacturer’s current hosted operation manual. Its distinguishing hardware is a front-panel DC breaker. Pylontech’s live product page presents US5000 rather than US5000-B, so the B version is treated as a superseded installed-system variant.

Capacity and electrical data

Both variants have 4.8 kWh nominal and 4.56 kWh usable energy at 48 V, equivalent to 95% depth of discharge. Recommended charge and discharge current is 80 A and maximum continuous current is 100 A. The time-limited ranges are 101 to 120 A for 15 minutes and 121 to 200 A for 15 seconds.

US5000-B measures 442 by 420 by 161 mm and weighs 40 kg, compared with 39.7 kg for US5000. Communications are RS485 and CAN and the enclosure is IP20. The B version’s front-panel breaker is rated 125 A at 60 V DC. That breaker does not replace the wider system protection and isolation design.

Expansion and compatibility

A bank supports one master and up to 15 slave modules. Restricted mixed banks can include US5000, UP5000, US3000C, US2000C, US3000 and US2000, subject to the documented master priority and position limits. No general permission to mix US5000-B with Pelio, UF5000 or other 48 V products follows from the voltage alone.

Warranty record

The current European and UK US-series warranty expressly names US5000-B. It begins with seven years and describes free registration for extension to ten years. Minimum capacity is defined as 70% of nominal energy during the initial term and 60% at the extended-term end.
