Pylontech US5000 is a current 48 V low-voltage, rack-mounted LFP battery. Its nominal energy is 4.8 kWh and usable energy is 4.56 kWh at 95% depth of discharge.

Core specifications

The current web table and attached sheet agree on energy, usable energy, dimensions of 442 by 420 by 161 mm, 39.7 kg weight, IP20 protection and CAN or RS485 communications. The web table gives 100 A normal current, 101 to 120 A for 15 minutes and 121 to 200 A for 15 seconds.

IP20 means the module needs a suitable indoor rack or cabinet environment. Charge, discharge and storage temperature limits also apply, with current derating controlled by the BMS.

Live documentation conflicts

Pylontech’s current sources disagree on several fields. The live product page and hosted manual say 48 V, while the attached PDF prints 8 V. The web table and hosted manual give 16 modules in one string, while the attached sheet says 20. Temperature ranges, design life and cycle-life figures also differ between those current records.

The conflicting values cannot be combined into one specification. System design should use the nameplate and the manual or datasheet revision issued for the supplied unit. The current manufacturer documents agree on 4.8 kWh nominal energy, 4.56 kWh usable energy, physical size and weight.

Warranty record

Pylontech’s hosted European and UK US-series terms start at seven years from installation or six months after manufacture, whichever is earlier. They describe free registration for extension to ten years. Minimum capacity is defined as 70% of nominal energy during the initial term and 60% at the end of the extension, while a separate clause describes time-value replacement using 80% of usable capacity over ten years.

Those measures serve different contractual purposes and should not be presented as one retained-capacity promise. Authorised supply, compatible equipment, installation, registration and system logs are among the stated claim conditions.
