Quantum is Rolec’s aluminium commercial charging pedestal. The established current page covers one and two-outlet configurations with 7.4 kW single-phase or 22 kW three-phase Type 2 outlets. Rolec separately announced a four-outlet version with four 7.2 kW sockets in January 2026.
Access and display options
Rolec lists plug-and-go, mobile-app, RFID and model-dependent contactless payment. OCPP 1.6 supports connection to a compatible chargepoint-management provider. Some models add a five-inch display and a lockable front access door. MID-approved metering, 4G, Wi-Fi and Ethernet are also listed.
The four-outlet announcement distinguishes a free-to-use configuration from an OCPP-managed format. These are commercial configurations rather than a software switch that can be assumed on any installed pedestal. The exact controller, meter, payment terminal and provider agreement need to be recorded.
Electrical schedule
The one and two-outlet page lists 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase inputs, both ±10%. It also lists AC overload and fault-current protection, 6 mA DC leakage protection, PME fault detection, surge and temperature protection and support for static or dynamic load management.
The per-outlet rating is not the pedestal’s guaranteed simultaneous output. A two or four-outlet installation may share a constrained site supply through load management. The design needs a maximum-demand schedule for the complete pedestal and any neighbouring chargers.
The core pedestal schedule measures 375 × 1,440 × 275 mm and is rated IP54 / IK10. Rolec’s January 2026 announcement describes four 7.2 kW sockets for the new four-way model, so its exact drawings and ratings should not be inferred from the two-outlet page.
