Samsung EHS Split uses refrigerant pipework between an outdoor unit and a wall-mounted hydro unit or ClimateHub indoor package.

EHS Split is Samsung’s refrigerant-split air-to-water architecture. Refrigerant pipework links the outdoor unit to an indoor hydro unit or ClimateHub, unlike EHS Mono where the building-side connection is water.
The live pages cover more than one generation
Samsung’s current UK solution page links Split equipment for space heating and domestic hot water. Its product catalogue contains a newer R32 low-ambient outdoor page in 6 and 9 kW classes, earlier R32 outdoor and hydro-unit pages and R410A equipment in larger capacities.
Those pages should not be treated as one performance schedule. The full outdoor prefix identifies the generation and refrigerant, while the indoor code establishes the hydraulic package and backup heater.
Hydro unit or ClimateHub
A wall-mounted hydro unit transfers heat from the refrigerant circuit to the heating water and uses separate domestic-hot-water storage where required. ClimateHub integrates indoor hydraulic equipment and a cylinder. Samsung publishes Split-specific ClimateHub codes, including newer S2 variants.
The live Split page also describes PV-control and SmartThings functions. These depend on the compatible indoor controls, connectivity equipment and commissioned settings. They are not established by an outdoor-unit code alone.
Certification and installation records
On 23 July 2026, the MCS Product Directory contained both current and expired Samsung Split combinations. Some established RXE R32 records remained current into 2029 or 2030, while current manufacturer pages also showed newer CXE equipment outside those certification records. Certification therefore applies to the exact outdoor and indoor pair, not the EHS Split family name.
Refrigerant pipework makes the matched outdoor and indoor manuals part of installation. Both product codes are needed to establish the refrigerant, pipe-length limits, electrical form and cylinder arrangement.
