EHS TDM Plus is Samsung’s combined air-to-water and air-to-air system. Time Division Multi describes how one outdoor system alternates capacity between water heating and compatible air-conditioning indoor units.

One outdoor system, two heat-delivery routes

The air-to-water side supplies space-heating water and domestic-hot-water production. The air-to-air side can heat or cool rooms through compatible indoor units. TDM Plus controls the two duties rather than providing their full output simultaneously in every operating state.

This distinction matters when interpreting an outdoor capacity. The heating design needs to account for the operating sequence, selected indoor units and domestic-hot-water priority rather than treating the water and air outputs as two independent heat pumps.

ClimateHub or separate storage

Samsung shows TDM Plus with either a ClimateHub or a wall-mounted hydro unit and third-party hot-water cylinder. ClimateHub combines hydraulic equipment and storage, with current pages including S2 variants. The hydro-unit route keeps the cylinder separate.

PV and smart-grid control features on Samsung’s solution page depend on the ClimateHub arrangement and connected controls. SmartThings functions also require the applicable equipment, internet connection and Samsung account.

Codes and certification position

Current MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) records on 23 July 2026 included AE044MXT, AE066MXT and AE090MXT outdoor families in 4.4, 6.6 and 9 kW class combinations. The returned records paired them with 200 or 260 litre indoor units or wall-mounted hydro equipment and showed certification through 31 July 2030.

That is a dated register position. The exact outdoor and water-side indoor combination is the certification record; compatible air-to-air units and the current Samsung combination rules must be checked separately.
