Home 7 Plus is the expanded-option version of Simpson & Partners’ single-phase Home Series V3 chargepoint. It uses the same charging-power schedule as Home 7 rather than a higher AC output.

What Plus changes

The Plus configuration adds a wider range of painted fronts and metal or wood caps. Its functional options include courtesy lighting, Charge Doctor hardware monitoring, a wireless Energy Manager and Ethernet. The actual configuration is defined by its Home 7 Plus code and selected connector, cable length, finish, cap, courtesy lighting, Charge Doctor, Energy Manager and communications options.

Both connector forms remain available. The untethered unit uses a locking Type 2 socket. Tethered units have a fixed Type 2 cable, with 6.8 m and optional 9.6 m forms in the current V3 schedule.

6–32 A charging and Energy Manager control

The chargepoint operates from 6 A to 32 A on a single-phase supply. A wired Energy Manager is included for household load balancing, while the wireless version can measure demand without the normal control cable between the supply point and charger.

Home 7 Plus supports solar charging, tariff integration, the Simpson & Partners app and over-the-air updates. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional Ethernet. Native OCPP 1.6J is also listed.

Its protection schedule includes 6 mA of DC residual-current detection, PEN (protective earth and neutral) fault protection, welded-contact detection and thermal protection. The enclosure has an IP54 ingress-protection rating and an IK10 impact-protection rating.

The current warranty for units bought after 1 April 2025 separates ten-year enclosure cover from five-year electronics cover and requires registration. HOME 7 Plus appeared for both residential and commercial grants on the GOV.UK list updated 15 June 2026. That dated entry does not replace the live grant conditions.
