SMA EV Charger 7.4 / 22 is the manufacturer’s earlier domestic wallbox family. It is no longer sold and has been succeeded by eCharger. Its specifications remain relevant to installed units.

Versions and connection

The family comprises EVC7.4-1AC-10 for single-phase supplies and EVC22-3AC-10 for three-phase supplies. The headline maximums are 7.4 and 22 kW respectively. Both use a fixed 5 m Type 2 cable.

Both versions have Ethernet and Wi-Fi, 6 mA DC residual-current detection, IP65 protection and IK08 impact resistance.

Solar and managed charging

The charger can operate as a stand-alone wallbox, but its SMA solar-charging functions rely on Sunny Home Manager 2.0 and the compatible measurement arrangement.

Warranty and successor

The product has a five-year warranty, subject to the applicable terms. The controlling record remains the original product, territory and commissioning date. eCharger is a different product with a Type 2 socket, not a direct specification match for the older tethered unit.
