SolarEdge Single Phase Inverter with HD-Wave Technology is a retained grid-tied inverter family for compatible SolarEdge power optimisers. The family comprises SE2200H, SE3000H, SE3500H, SE3680H, SE4000H, SE5000H and SE6000H.
Identify the exact HD-Wave code
The number in the model code determines AC output, maximum PV power and input current. A label that says only HD-Wave does not establish those limits.
HD-Wave grid-tied and StorEdge equipment
The plain grid-tied inverter has no direct battery input. Retained StorEdge applications use a separate StorEdge interface, unlike the integrated battery connection in current Home Hub equipment.
The plain-inverter schedule must not be read as a direct battery specification for every HD-Wave unit.
HD-Wave environmental limits
Its lower temperature figure is conditional on an option, while the upper operating range is subject to derating. The documentation supplied for the exact unit therefore takes precedence over a simplified family value.
HD-Wave retirement from the UK range
SolarEdge’s current UK inverter page now presents Home Wave, Home Hub and Home Short String. This older family is marked superseded, while installed units remain service and warranty subjects.
The current general policy covers eligible inverters, but the serial-specific record and terms applying to the original sale control an existing unit.
