S6 Energy Storage Inverter

S6 energy-storage inverter is not one Solis model. It is an umbrella description that can refer to hybrid inverters with solar inputs, AC-coupled battery inverters without solar inputs or off-grid units. The full product code is needed before any rating or compatibility claim can be applied.

EH, EA and EO identify different jobs

Current EH products are hybrid inverters. The UK range includes the single-phase low-voltage S6-EH1P-L-PLUS family and several S6-EH3P three-phase families for low-voltage or high-voltage batteries.

EA identifies AC-coupled storage. Current UK products include S6-EA1P single-phase low-voltage models and S6-EA3P three-phase high-voltage models. They add battery storage on the AC side and do not replace the existing solar inverter.

EO identifies off-grid equipment. It sits in a separate warranty category and should not be assumed to have the same grid-connected approval or operating modes as an EH or EA product.

Model code, compatibility and warranty

The complete code should show phase, output class and battery-voltage family. The battery model must then be checked against Solis’s compatibility document for that inverter and firmware. Backup power, generator support, maximum solar input and parallel operation vary between families.

The UK warranty published on 1 July 2025 gives energy-storage inverters on sale five years and off-grid inverters two years, subject to its terms. The label and production date determine which category and document apply.

SolisCloud monitoring also needs the correct logger, network connection and account. It does not identify the inverter’s electrical topology on its own.
