Quattro-II

Quattro-II is a bidirectional inverter/charger with two AC inputs. A system can connect two independent sources, such as the public supply and a generator, and the unit selects the active source. This is the principal distinction from the one-input MultiPlus-II family.
The two current versions
Current variants are 24/5000/120-50 and 48/5000/70-50. Both are 5000 VA inverter classes with a 50 A transfer rating, 4000 W continuous output at 25°C and 9000 W peak power. The 24 V version has a 120 A maximum battery-charge current and the 48 V version has 70 A under the same temperature condition.
The two AC outputs also have different roles. The main output is maintained from the battery when both AC sources are absent, with a changeover of less than 20 milliseconds. The second output is disconnected in inverter mode. It can therefore carry a load that may operate from grid or generator power but should not run down the battery during an outage.
PowerControl and PowerAssist are available system functions.
Monitoring and system design
Quattro-II uses VE.Bus and supports parallel and three-phase configurations under Victron’s system rules. A base unit needs a separate GX communication centre for VRM remote monitoring.
The enclosure is IP21, uses fan-assisted cooling and has an operating range of -40°C to 65°C.
The 24 V and 48 V products are not interchangeable in an existing battery system. The full product code, battery voltage, intended AC sources and circuits connected to each output define the installed configuration.
UK grid evidence
The current G98 and G99 documents name the 48/5000/70-50/50 230 V version, not the 24 V model. Grid connection depends on the evidence, firmware, settings and route applicable to the exact configuration.
