Battery-Box HVM+ is a modular high-voltage LFP battery in BYD Energy Storage’s current global residential range. It is separate from Battery-Box Premium HVM. The plus generation uses a different physical format and publishes higher current figures, so the two names should not be used interchangeably.
Current UK distribution, supported UK inverter combinations and complete UK warranty terms are unconfirmed.
Six tower sizes
An HVM+ tower contains three to eight 2.76 kWh modules. The six usable-energy values are 8.28, 11.04, 13.80, 16.56, 19.32 and 22.08 kWh.
Maximum output current is 50 A across the range, with an 80 A peak for 15 seconds. Up to three identical towers can be connected in parallel. The resulting family maximum is rounded to 66.2 kWh.
These are DC battery figures. Usable AC power, overload behaviour and backup capability depend on the compatible inverter and the installed electrical arrangement.
BYD’s public HVM+ product page still shows an older 2.71 kWh module schedule, 8.1 to 21.7 kWh per tower and a 65 kWh parallel maximum. The later V1.1 datasheet dated 3 June 2026 supersedes those values with 2.76 kWh modules, 8.28 to 22.08 kWh per tower and a rounded 66.2 kWh maximum.
Installation and operating limits
HVM+ is floor-mounted. The enclosure is rated IP55 and the operating range is -10°C to 50°C. A fixed low-temperature derating interval is unconfirmed. Battery round-trip efficiency is at least 95%.
European warranty
The European residential letter available on 22 July 2026 covers HVM+ systems installed in Europe on or after 1 September 2025. It provides a ten-year product warranty and performance cover until the earlier of ten years at 60% retained usable energy or the model’s minimum throughput. Throughput runs from 25.62 MWh for HVM+ 8.3 to 68.31 MWh for HVM+ 22.1. Warranty thresholds from Premium HVM are not carried over by assumption, even though this particular schedule uses the same values.
