Huawei uses SUN2000 across residential, commercial and utility three-phase inverters. On 23 July 2026, Huawei’s residential configuration tool listed M1, MAP0 and MB0 as separate families.
M1, MAP0 and MB0
KTL-M1 is the High Current Version. It supports named LUNA2000 systems and can use BackupBox-B1, whose backup output is single phase.
MAP0 and MB0 are separate residential platforms. Huawei’s current configuration material pairs them with S1 batteries and SmartGuard equipment. MB0 is the only family for which the current S1 specification permits up to four battery systems in parallel.
These differences mean that three-phase SUN2000 is not a specification. The complete suffix determines the PV voltage window, MPPT arrangement, battery connection, module-controller compatibility and backup equipment.
Commercial codes
Other SUN2000 three-phase products sit in Huawei’s commercial and utility catalogues. Similar power numbers do not make them interchangeable with residential M1, MAP0 or MB0 equipment. Their electrical schedules and permitted system arrangements differ.
The residential warranty category likewise cannot be transferred to a commercial inverter merely because both products use the SUN2000 name.
Three-phase warranty and UK status
Huawei’s May 2026 European policy places the named M1, MAP0 and MB0 families in its residential inverter warranty schedule, subject to contract. The August 2024 UK PSTI (Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure) statement names MAP0 and MB0 ratings but not M1; its separate period concerns product security. All three remain in Huawei’s configuration material, while current UK supply for every rating and suffix is unconfirmed.
