Aquarea High Performance is a range label rather than one generation or outdoor unit. Panasonic’s current UK page groups three technically different forms under it.

Three current forms

L Series is an R290 hydraulic split. Current 5, 7 and 9 kW outdoor units connect to the indoor equipment with water, and Panasonic states water temperatures up to 75°C for this family.

K Series is an R32 refrigerant split. Current detailed combinations include High Performance outdoor units from 3 to 12 kW, depending on the indoor arrangement. Panasonic’s K launch information states water up to 60°C at -10°C outdoor.

J Series is an R32 monobloc. Its live High Performance page states a 60°C maximum hydraulic output and operation to -20°C. Current J records include 5, 7 and 9 kW units.

These figures belong to their generation and code. High Performance alone does not identify the refrigerant location, water-temperature limit or capacity schedule.

Indoor equipment changes the system

L and K systems can use a hydraulic indoor unit with separate hot-water storage or an All in One unit with an integrated cylinder. J monoblocs use an external domestic-hot-water cylinder where one is required. The indoor code also identifies backup-heater and electrical details.

Certification record

Exact L, K and J High Performance products were current in the MCS Product Directory on 23 July 2026. L results used WH-WDG outdoor codes, K results used WH-UDZ and J results used WH-MDC. A broad range name cannot replace one of those exact records.

The system record keeps the generation, performance range, outdoor unit, indoor unit and cylinder as separate fields. This avoids applying R290 siting instructions to an R32 system or using a split-system manual for a monobloc.
