T-CAP is Panasonic’s range name for heat pumps designed to maintain heating capacity at low outdoor temperatures. It covers several generations, so the name is not one refrigerant, output or hydraulic arrangement.

M Series is the current R290 platform

The live UK T-CAP page lists M Series from 9 to 30 kW, with single-phase and three-phase forms. WH-WXG outdoor units can operate with a controller, control module, bi-bloc indoor unit or All in One cylinder package.

Panasonic states that M Series maintains rated capacity down to -15°C at a 55°C water outlet. Its current 185 litre All in One page separately states operation to -28°C, capacity maintained down to -20°C and water up to 75°C at -15°C. These are different operating-envelope statements, not interchangeable test points.

K and J remain separate R32 T-CAP forms

K Series is a refrigerant split using WH-UXZ outdoor codes. Current records include 9, 12 and 16 kW combinations. J Series is a monobloc using WH-MXC; current manufacturer and MCS material covers 9, 12 and 16 kW forms across parts of its schedule.

Panasonic’s J launch material states capacity maintained down to -20°C and a 65°C water flow temperature. Those J values should not be substituted for the M Series schedule.

Exact records matter

Current M, K and J T-CAP products were present in the MCS Product Directory on 23 July 2026. M Series results used WH-WXG, K Series used WH-UXZ and J Series used WH-MXC. The full indoor and outdoor combination remains necessary where the certification record names both.

The design also needs the required output at the project’s outdoor design temperature and flow temperature. The T-CAP name describes the range approach but does not replace that calculation.
