Sigen Battery is the high-voltage LFP battery module used in the established SigenStor system. It has no AC output by itself.

Four module labels

BAT 5.0 and 8.0 use 280 Ah cells and have 5.38 and 8.06 kWh total energy, of which 5.2 and 7.8 kWh is usable. Their maximum continuous charge or discharge power is 2.5 and 4.0 kW.

BAT 6.0 and 10.0 use 314 Ah cells and have 6.02 and 9.04 kWh total, with 5.84 and 8.76 kWh usable. Their maximum continuous power is 3.0 and 4.6 kW. The similar labels do not mean that a 5.0 is identical to a 6.0 or that an 8.0 is identical to a 10.0.

One to six modules can be used per controller. Each pack has a DC-DC optimiser, allowing supported packs with different capacities, ages, states of charge or states of health to operate together. That does not remove the need to check the current installation manual, supported module combinations and firmware before an expansion.

Installation data

All four modules are rated IP66 and have a published operating range of -20°C to 55°C. BAT 5.0, 6.0, 8.0 and 10.0 weigh 55, 62, 70 and 78 kg respectively.

European warranty

The European terms give ten-year product cover. Performance cover ends at the earlier of ten years at 60% retained usable energy or 18.20, 20.44, 27.30 or 30.66 MWh for BAT 5.0, 6.0, 8.0 or 10.0 respectively.
