TS4-A-2F is a two-input rapid-shutdown device for string-inverter solar systems. One unit connects to two modules, which distinguishes it from the single-input TS4-A-F and TS4-X-F. It is a shutdown component and does not provide Tigo’s module-level optimisation or production-monitoring functions.
Two current variants
Tigo’s current datasheet contains two electrical versions. The 1,000 W version allows up to 500 W per input and has 15 A maximum operating current and 20 A short-circuit current per unit. The 1,400 W version allows up to 700 W per input and raises those per-unit currents to 20 A and 25 A respectively. Both use a 16 to 80 V input range and state 99.9% maximum efficiency.
The ordering table contains 1,000 V and 1,500 V maximum-system-voltage versions. The applicable limit depends on the exact part number, connector and UL or IEC certification, so it must be taken from the selected code rather than from the TS4-A-2F family name alone.
The two ratings should not be merged into a single specification. The exact part on a design needs to be matched to both connected modules and to the inverter, string voltage, current, connectors and cable arrangement.
Shutdown signal
TS4-A-2F receives its keep-alive signal over the PV conductors from a Tigo RSS Transmitter or an inverter with a compatible transmitter built in. When that signal is removed, the TS4 devices enter the shutdown state specified by Tigo. The standard F-series arrangement does not use a TAP and CCA to report individual-module production.
The device weighs 590 g and is rated IP68 / NEMA 3R. Tigo states a 25-year warranty, subject to its warranty terms.
Tigo certifies the rapid-shutdown arrangement against named US National Electrical Code provisions. This system claim does not itself establish the design requirements for a UK installation.
