TS4-X-F is the dedicated rapid-shutdown model in Tigo Energy’s higher-current TS4-X family. It connects to one module and works with a string inverter. Unlike TS4-X-O and TS4-X-S, it does not provide module-level production monitoring through Tigo Energy Intelligence. It also has no optimisation function.
Electrical boundary
Maximum module power is 800 W, maximum operating current is 20 A and maximum short-circuit current is 25 A. Input voltage is 12 to 80 V and maximum efficiency is 99.6%.
TS4-X-F has 1,000 V and 1,500 V maximum-system-voltage versions. The exact part number, connector and UL or IEC certification determine which limit applies.
These figures accommodate more input current than the current TS4-A-F, but matching still needs the module’s exact ratings, the inverter and full string design. Connector type, cable routing and the manufacturer’s compatibility information are also part of that check.
Transmitter-based control
The X-F uses power-line communication rather than the TAP and CCA arrangement used for standard O and S monitoring. A Tigo RSS Transmitter or a compatible inverter with an integrated transmitter sends a keep-alive signal along the PV conductors. Removal of that signal causes the devices to enter their defined shutdown state.
The enclosure is rated IP68 and the operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. It measures 139.7 × 138.4 × 22.9 mm, weighs 520 g and has a stated 25-year warranty, subject to the applicable terms.
The manufacturer’s rapid-shutdown certification is tied to US National Electrical Code requirements and a compatible complete system. It does not by itself specify what a United Kingdom installation must include.
