TS4-A-F is the dedicated rapid-shutdown member of Tigo Energy’s 725 W TS4-A range. It takes one module input and is intended to reduce the output at module level when the system’s keep-alive signal disappears. It does not provide Tigo’s optimisation or module-level production-monitoring functions.

Electrical limits

Maximum module power is 725 W, maximum operating input current is 16 A and maximum short-circuit current is 22 A. The input voltage range is 12 to 80 V and maximum efficiency is 99.6%.

TS4-A-F has 1,000 V and 1,500 V maximum-system-voltage variants. The limit depends on the exact part number, connector and UL or IEC certification. It cannot be assigned from the TS4-A-F family name alone.

Those values still have to be checked against the exact solar module, inverter, string voltage and current, connectors and cable layout. TS4-A-F is a system component, not a universal add-on for any array.

Signal arrangement

The device listens for a power-line keep-alive signal carried on the PV conductors. That signal comes from a Tigo RSS Transmitter or an inverter containing a compatible transmitter. Removing power from the transmitter causes the F devices to enter the shutdown state described by Tigo. Unlike TS4-A-O and TS4-A-S, the standard F arrangement does not use a TAP and CCA for module-level production data.

The enclosure is rated IP68. The unit measures 139.7 × 138.4 × 22.9 mm, weighs 520 g and carries a stated 25-year warranty, subject to the applicable terms.

Tigo’s certification claims for this function are written around US National Electrical Code rapid-shutdown requirements. They establish the manufacturer’s intended system behaviour under those standards, not a general UK design requirement.
