TS4-A-O is the optimisation member of Tigo Energy’s TS4-A module-level range. It is fitted to one solar panel and works on the DC side of a string-inverter system. It does not replace the inverter or convert the panel output to AC.

Functions and electrical limits

The O suffix denotes optimisation, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown. Selective deployment is supported where the system design permits, so a compatible design does not require an optimiser on every module.

The current 725 W version accepts up to 16 A operating current and 22 A short-circuit current over a 12 to 80 V input range. Maximum efficiency is 99.6%. These values are limits for the TS4, not substitutes for the module’s own ratings or the inverter’s string-design limits.

TS4-A-O comes in 1,000 V and 1,500 V maximum-system-voltage versions. The applicable limit depends on the exact part number, connector and UL or IEC certification, not simply the TS4-A-O name.

Communications and monitoring

Module-level data is relayed wirelessly to a Tigo Access Point, which connects to Cloud Connect Advanced. The CCA then sends monitoring information to Tigo Energy Intelligence. Optional power-line communication is also available, so the TS4 part number alone does not identify the communications design.

The unit is rated IP68 and measures 139.7 × 138.4 × 22.9 mm. Its stated warranty period is 25 years, subject to the applicable terms.

Tigo’s rapid-shutdown certification language refers to US National Electrical Code requirements. It describes a tested system function and does not by itself define what a UK installation requires.
