TS4-X-O is Tigo Energy’s higher-current add-on optimiser for one solar module. It combines optimisation, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown while leaving DC to AC conversion to the system’s string inverter.
How X differs from A
The current X version supports a maximum module power of 800 W, operating input current of 20 A and short-circuit current of 25 A. The input voltage range is 12 to 80 V and maximum efficiency is 99.6%.
TS4-X-O comes in 1,000 V and 1,500 V maximum-system-voltage versions. The selected part number, connector and UL or IEC certification determine the applicable limit.
O products can be used selectively where the system design permits, so a compatible design does not require an optimiser on every module.
Data and communications
The standard monitoring arrangement uses wireless communication from the rooftop units to a Tigo Access Point. The TAP connects to Cloud Connect Advanced, which records data and links the system to Tigo Energy Intelligence. Optional power-line communication is also available and uses a different communications arrangement.
TS4-X-O is rated IP68 and for operation from -40°C to 85°C. It measures 139.7 × 138.4 × 22.9 mm and weighs 520 g. The warranty period is 25 years, subject to the applicable terms.
Tigo’s rapid-shutdown wording refers to certification under US National Electrical Code provisions. It describes a complete compatible system and does not by itself determine the requirements for a UK solar array.
